The original Collingwood Nursing Home
was established in the 1940's and looked after wounded WWII
veterans.
In April 1991, we opened the doors
to our newly built Home. Along with a new building,
we have grown with the times. We now care for 60 people,
and still maintain the personal relationships that
are so important.
We are situated in a peaceful area
on the South/West corner of Collingwood, away from noise
and traffic. Looking out any window in any room, you
will see a bright scenic view. Blue Mountain and the
areas beautiful surroundings is what our residents admire
year round. Our Home has many skylights, allowing
lots of natural light in.

Our staff and management are dedicated
caregivers who take pride in providing quality care, in
a supportive, personal and considerate manner. Skills are
regularly maintained and upgraded.

We feel that the exceptional rapport between management
and staff is one of the primary reasons the environment
is relaxed and peaceful. We are very proud and supportive
of our employee's.

Our employee's cared enough about the
quality of care and service that they provide, that they
actually chose to de-certify the Union that was representing
them. Our employee's felt that the Union did not effectively
represent them or the needs of the Home. So our employee's
formed their own "Employee Association".
We feel that we have the most caring staff and management
team in Ontario, focused on caring for our Residents.
